There is also a museum inside the palace which showcases traditional Rajasthani costumes.
16:30 Hrs – Jantar Mantar:
Located very close to the City Palace is Jantar Mantar, a solar observatory which is included amongst the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This observatory is the largest amongst five constructed by Sawai Jai Singh, the founder-ruler of Jaipur. Various instruments allowing one to observe the astronomical positions are placed inside the observatory. Sun Dial is the largest such instrument in the world.
17:30 Hrs – Hawa Mahal:
Hawa Mahal, also known as Palace of Wind is a crown-shaped palace originally created for the royal ladies to wind-up in the hot summer afternoons. The 953 windows in the palace let cool breeze flow inside the palace, and they also allowed the royal ladies to see the city activities without being noticed. Today, Hawa Mahal has become the synonym for Jaipur.
